The Client Situation

A global FMCG group restructured its UK operations and wished to centralise a number of manufacturing sites into new, state of the art facilities. In order to achieve this, the group needed specialist advice on the procurement of major capital items - both plant and machinery and on the construction activity they wished to undertake.

What Armadillo did

We were able to provide a former Procurement Director of a leading UK construction group through our network. The Consultant was able to add immediate value though his specialist knowledge of the construction industry protocols and contractual forms. By joining the process early, he was able to ensure that risk was appropriately identified, measured and dealt with. Additionally, through his personal network of industry contacts, he was able to build quick and highly effective relationships with key partners and enable the programme was to make a number of quick wins. The initial term was extended from the negotiation phases to cover the implementation phase and the build was delivered to a high standard.

The new build element of the programme which was critical in the smooth relocation of the operations was completed to plan and time.
